The Summer Praise Dance group was created during the summer of 2013 to create community within our studio, to reach out to our surrounding community in a new way, and to teach our students how dancing can be used as a form of worship.
This group is open to rising 2nd-12th graders each summer. We meet for five days in June to learn and rehearse a mini-ballet or worship set and spend the remainder of our summer touring and sharing in worship each Sunday morning with congregations in Harrisonburg and Rockingham County. We are led by Miss Alaina, Miss Grace and the Student Leadership Team. This group serves as a planning committee for the ballet and helps to choreograph and teach. We love dancing together and worshipping the Lord!
For Dancers:
Our Summer Praise Intensive will be held June 15-19, 10:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. Dancers must be present all five days to participate.
We may only have limited spots available. Please submit your registration forms as soon as possible.
This group is open to rising 2nd-12th graders.
There is a fee of $25 to borrow costumes for the summer. Each dancer will also need their own black leotard, pink tights, and ballet shoes.
We understand that you may have vacation, other commitments, etc., so go ahead and plan your summer- this ballet will be choreographed to easily adapt to many venues, number of dancers, and absences.

Must be a rising 7th grader or above
Previous Summer Praise participation is highly recommended
Must be available for pre-season meetings and 9:30-12:30 on camp dates
