Classes
Each class meets weekly for 45-90 minutes, based on the style of dance and level of the class. Each class includes a warmup, conditioning, exercises in technique in the center or across-the-floor, and choreography.
PreK dancers: must be 3 years of age and potty-trained.
Payments & Attendance
You are responsible for paying for all classes during the semester, regardless of any absences from class.
Payments may be made in full per month or per semester. Payments may be made online or via cash/check. See the tuition chart below for payment options. Dancers must stick with the chosen method of payment through the season. A late fee will be charged at the end of the month for any missed payments.
Spring recital costume payments: due in full before Christmas Break:
$65/class if paid cash/check in full
OR: 3 installments of $22/class in October, November, and December.
Performances
All ballet students have the option to perform in our annual Christmas production. This takes place one weekend in December and follows a spiritual praise theme for the Christmas season. There is no costume purchase for this performance, but students are asked to pay a $25 fee in order to cover costume rental, facility rental, and other performance costs.
Spring Recital: is held the weekend after Memorial Day with two performances. Each class will learn a dance throughout the spring semester and every student is expected to participate in both performances. PreBallet & PreTap classes perform in one “Debut” recital performance.
Cancellations
In the event of inclement weather or other event, InMotion will make the decision whether to hold evening classes. You will be signed up for text notifications upon registration. Any cancellation will also be posted on the website homepage and on social media (Facebook & Instagram).
Dress Code
You are required to wear dance apparel for all dance classes. Leotard, tights, skirts, ballet shoes, and hair in bun is expected for all ballet classes. Leotard, tights, and shorts or skirts should be worn for all other classes with appropriate shoes. Hair should be in a bun or ponytail for all other classes. “If you look like a dancer, you will feel like a dancer and dance like a dancer.”
During colder months, students may wear dance sweaters to classes. Any sweater or shirt should be form-fitting and should not have a hood.
*Dancers’ leotard may not be nude-colored. Dancers are always welcome to wear these “nude leotards” under any other leotard (and are highly-recommended to wear under costumes during performances) but this may not be your only attire: you will need to wear a black or colored leotard on top.
