Ballet Magnificat! comes to Harrisonburg!

March 4-5, 2017

We were blessed by Ballet Magnificat!’s Omega Company’s visit to Harrisonburg! Several of our dancers attended Saturday’s performance of “The Hiding Place” our age 8-12 dancers participated in a Creative & Improvisational Worship Masterclass and 12+ participated in “Variations,” learning choreography from the show we saw the night before! Thank you Ballet Magnificat! for showing us how our hard work and love for dance can be used to glorify our God!

These girls participated in JMU’s “Dukette for a Day,” completing a workshop with JMU’s Dukettes, then performing at basketball halftime!

Our Perform Group completes another season!

Winter 2017

Our group struggled through several injuries and Miss Alaina & Miss Hannah had to step in for two performances, but we were proud to present two dances to basketball crowds across the Valley this winter. “No Air” was originally performed by the Bridgewater College Dance Team in 2010 and “Attack on Titan” was originally choreographed for the team this season! Here they are performing both dances at a JMU halftime! Great work this past fall and winter, girls!

Community Travel Day

January 15, 2017

Community Travel Day has become a tradition at InMotion! For our January Travel Day, we presented encore productions of our Christmas show Let There Be Light at Bridgewater Retirement Community and Virginia Mennonite Retirement Community. We also had a time of fellowship and rehearsal at our studio between shows. Thank you to all our students and parents who made it possible to brighten people’s day!

KidzBop Concert, Rockingham County Fair

These girls worked all summer to prepare their dance for the KidzBop concert, only to have their show opener cut after a rain delay. A huge thank-you to Spotswood High School for donating stage time so they could make this video and exhibit the result of their hard work!
